Denying food to an adult human for 3 weeks will not be fatal, but for an infant it will be. Yes, physiological differences exist at different stages of development - that doesn't deny the humanity of any particular stage.

Humans at different stages of development have different abilities and characteristics. Babies have more bones than adults, but that doesn’t make them less human.

Freezing embryos was invented in 1984, does that mean an embryo was a baby before 1984? Or will an embryo become a baby when technology advances to the point where we can safely freeze newborn babies? Does humanity rely on technological advancement?

They don’t freeze embryos for more than 6 days. After that the likely hood that the baby would survive is very low. At that 6 days is immediately after the speem is added, women don’t even know they’re pregnant in 6 days. So your logic ends the practice of abortion.

That is absolutely not why we say an embryo isn’t a baby. The word embryo long predates the technology to freeze them. Also, only very early stage embryos can be frozen.

Much of the USA’s system forces people to grow two fused cells to full sentience without regarding any of the lengthy and complicated process between those two points. And also just as often without regard to circumstances surrounding conception. It just seems thoughtless and unscientific to me that we completely disregard every existing and/or known developmental stage. A mass of cells without neural pathways has no more similarity to a baby than a Jellyfish does to a plank of wood.

Well, one is attached to it's mother's through her uterus and placenta until it's born. It gets nutrients, has a heartbeat.
