You walk to the ball and than instead of getting as close as possible and pressure the ball you just stop ofc you’ll get hurt and don’t tell me I don’t know anything i’ve played at the highest level in the Netherlands which is far more advanced hockey than anywhere else

As a goalie and ex defenseman who was the flyer for my team. She WAS running at the ball, but the opposing player had already wound up for a drive and being in the way of a drive can be very dangerous. OR when it wasn’t a drive, the player was also moving towards her, getting to close to a player the ball will simply go through you or you’ll get body slammed (unintentionally)
