Authorities said 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, fired from a rooftop, spraying bullets into vehicles outside an ICE field office. The shooter killed one detainee and critically injured two others before he turned the gun on himself. The White House is warning federal agencies: if the government shuts down next week, don’t expect furloughs; expect firings. In a memo first reported by Politico, the Office of Management and Budget directed agencies to prepare for mass layoffs in programs that would lose funding and are “not consistent with the president’s priorities.” The DOJ prepares to seek an indictment against former FBI director James Comey, accusing him of providing false testimony to Congress about the FBI’s handling of the Russia investigation.
