It’s been a little over a year and I’ve lost 55 pounds. It’s been slow and honestly, I’ve really learned that the key (FOR ME) is to have a goal that isn’t related to weight. My job means often getting to try some of the best food (and sharing that with you!) but I’ve come to realize that I don’t have to eat all of it, all the time. Here’s what I mean: 1. I set out to be able to walk long distances. I scheduled a 100+ mile walk (the Cotswold Way in England) 4 months in advance and it helped to keep me on track. It wasn’t about weight or looks it was about being able to accomplish the walk. 2. 99% is what you eat. I thought OMG I MUST WORK OUT. No, it’s what you eat. My job is so muhh ch about eating good food and u want to enjoy it 3. BUT I want to enjoy life and for me that is food. So I really watch my portions. 4. I failed and failed for a decade until I started tracking. I use @myfitnesspal. It’s not expensive (there’s a free plan) and it just makes sense 5. I had a training plan for my walk that I love. It’s various workouts that made me look forward to working out (Comment “PLAN” and I’ll DM it to you, it’s free) 6. Protein is really key - it helps keep you full 7. I made swaps. Instead of chips I roast veggies or make Kale chips. NOT ALWAYS, but sometimes 8. I realized weight loss isn’t linear. Sometimes I lost weight, gained weight, or stayed the same 9. I don’t have to look like the ideal beauty standard. This is for me. 10. This is what worked for me, it might not be the same for you. That is okay #weightloss #transformation
