I just watched a guy putting lime down to adjust the ph in the soil for alfalfa i never heard about such a thing before but im definitely looking into it.

I swear to god I just saw another video of this same guy saying not to worry about pH, just apply the missing nutrients...

Ideal pH 6.0 to 6.5. This will help balance ideal soil microbal activity which helps availability of all necessary nutrients.

Bought a piece of ground few years ago. Grid sampled, pH 5.8, phos levels high. Put lime on and added pell lime every year. Resampled after three years. Ph 6.3, phos levels decreased dramatically even with using a high phos starter. Ph has to be right or nothing works right.

We don’t have the sulphur from pollution to supplement plants. Been using sulphur for years spring and fall (high calcium soil (low in magnesium) and fairly high ph 6.5-7.0). Takes a long time to get any noticeable changes.

Find your water treatment plant that can land apply. Most times its free because they dont want to pay to send it to a landfill

not only phosphorus tie if pH down, another nutrient is not optimal

In my area, they use super phosphate so much. In the 70s, there is no farm ground that is deficient in phosphorus. when 35 to 50 is the goal and many test come back 120-150 hahaha

You need to increase your carbon in your soil. Sugar, molasses, green manure.
