Hey Sunshine! It is so frustrating when are making lifestyle changes and the scale is not moving! It’s discouraging and the reason a lot of people quit before they ever really get going. Three things to do if you are making lifestyle changes and the scale is not moving. 1. Track your food for a week. I hate tracking calories and like to be present and enjoying my present moment. My fitness pal is a great free app. Might surprise yourself on how many or little calories out are consuming. Putting your body into starvation mode will not gut your health goals. Just track for one week without judgement to get an accurate assessment. 2. You gotta move Sunshine. It is imperative for your metabolism. Wear a Fitbit or equivalent for at least a week and see how many steps you are getting. Again without judgement just see where you are at baseline. 3. Assess for empty calories you can cut with minimal discomfort- soda, alcohol for example. Look for areas you do some harm reduction- example switch to whole grain, choose a less processed version. Doing these three things sets you up to make some small adjustments to get the scale moving and you moving towards your health goals. One day at a time. You hit this! Love You!
