Dawggy door :
Fun fact; euthanasia is generally not considered a medical procedure by most medical ethics boards because it’s incompatible with a physicians role as a healer. Also there is a difference between abortion and termination for the life of the mother. Abortion is the umbrella term but it has a distinct difference, the purpose of abortion is to end the pregnancy. Whereas the purpose of termination for the life of the mother, is to SAVE the mother’s life. So if you can’t euthanize somebody due to your ethical role as a healer, euthanizing an unborn child for any elective reason should also be against the ethical role as a healer. I encourage you to read the statistics on why women get an abortion (umbrella term), according to a 2024 report from the Lozier Institute, 0.4% of abortions are due to 🍇 or increst, 0.3% are due to risk to the mothers life or bodily function, 2.2% are due to other physical health concerns, 1.2% are due to abnormalities in the unborn baby, and 95.9% are due to elective and unspecified reasons. The Guttmacher Institute also has a few studies on this with numbers reflecting this within a few % on reasoning, but those studies are a bit dated. Regardless, all the data we’ve got shows that over 94% of all abortions are for reasons other than; medical necessity, 🍇, or increst, and are in fact elective and unnecessary. I’d be happy to share my source links if you’d like.
