That means you’re parenting correctly, she’s polite and respectful when out of her element, but comfortable enough at home (and not scared of physical abuse primarily) to be herself and test boundaries. Great job!!!

7 1/2 months pregnant over here and can confirm that naps while the kids are at school is top tier. Also just naps at any time of day. I was gonna get up and clean at 11 this morning and then I was like “you know what? I’m fucking tired man. I’m taking a nap.” And now here I am at 1 pm still not cleaning.

My mom once told me (while I was feeling overwhelmed with my daughter’s behavior at home), it will get difficult to hear other people say how wonderful your child is for them but horrible for you. Cuz at some point you wonder well, does she hate me? But be willing to accept the fact that if they are putting good out in to the world then you are doing your job well! And if home is their outlet that just means they feel entirely safe with you! So job well done sweetheart! And Don’t worry! in the long run you’re creating your best friend later in life!

I feel this full-heartedly and it's so funny I get calls for my kids' teachers and at conferences they're just all praise for the most part for most of them and I'm like are you sure you're talking about my kids I mean like my kids are sweet they are but they're also a little demons

My daughter won the best award in middle school we were so proud, she promptly came home and slammed the door because she couldn’t find her iPad, so I will say she knows how to behave in public and feels safe to express her frustration at home, because she knows I’m going to love her through it. I’m so scared of this 14 year old, I also clean her room and hide my naps.
