Kotoyuki deep down wasn’t a bad guy the whole mess was because of his dad’s schemes and honestly Hinako’s useless dad too. That’s why he came off looking so terrible. Those pills Shu gave Hinako only made things worse her fears and hallucinations got heavier and heavier. If you notice in that scene where they’re peeling Hinako’s face Kotoyuki actually grabs her hand like he’s trying to calm her down. And did you catch how after every ritual he never says a word? That’s because both families kept shutting him up especially his own. He literally had no way to fight back. Just like Hinako he grew up constantly belittled by his family especially his father. The only time he dared to do something was in the middle of that ritual when he reached out to hold her hand. Both Kotoyuki and Hinako were victims of their fathers’ abuse and that’s honestly heartbreaking. They didn’t even let Kotoyuki spend real time with Hinako before the marriage, to actually get to know her better. And the whole ritual thing? While it was happening in that other world, it was also playing out in the real one. Hinako’s face being cut all her suffering it really symbolized the fear of forced marriage the hatred and terror of her father and the danger of losing her own identity. She was fighting not to lose herself. So yeah you gotta look at the story with some logic and empathy. Don’t take that other world too literally it wasn’t even fully real more like a reflection of fear and trauma. Both Kotoyuki and Hinako went through hell. And Kotoyuki’s dad was such a jerk that he straight-up told Hinako > My stupid son couldn’t even manage to draw you in. That made Hinako really mad, and she thought to herself How can a father be this horrible to treat his own son like that? It was exactly like her own dad who treated her the same way.

Menurutku, pria rubah itu bukan lah sosok seorang dewa rubah atau semacamnya. Sepertinya semua yng di lihat hinako saat ini, adalah bentuk penglihatan halusinasi setelah kebanyakan neguk Pill obat yang di kasih shu. Buktinya muncul beberapa scene yng ada dialognya, tapi orang yang sedang bicara itu ga ada. contohnya pas di ending 1 itu, yang hinako berlari menuju pintu keluar. Kan ada yang bicara "Tenang, aku akan bicara dengan hinako" Bisa jadi si rubah (kotoyuki) di dunia asli coba ngajak bicara hinako, yang sudah kehilangan kesadaran. Tapi penglihatannya sekarang itu sedang melawan monster, ya karena efek pill obat dari shu. Semua monster yng hinako lawan, kemungkinan manusia asli di dunia nyata yang datang ke pernikahan hinako dan kotoyuki. Makanya ada 1 ending smua orang yng ada di pernikahannya meninggoy di bun bun hinako. Terus ada ending ke 2 si hinako jadi menikah dengan kotoyuki, tapi endingnya wajah asli hinako teriak di bawah tangga "Tidak, aku tidak mau seperti ibuku". Itu menggambarkan Hinako sudah melepas keinginannya. Sepertinya keinginan hinako itu bebas, tidak suka di atur2, tidak suka terkekang. Dia takut kalo menikah dengan kotoyuki, hinako tidak akan bebas lagi. Hinako lihat sendiri ibunya yng sudah mendapatkan kekerasan dari ayahnya, tapi masih jg nurut dengan ayahnya. Makanya dia takut, nasibnya akan sama seperti ibunya gitu karena harus nurut perkataan suaminya. Nah ending ke 3 si hinako akhirnya berhasil kabur dari pernikahannya bersama Shu. Si hinako seneng akhirnya bisa bebas. Tapi ada scene di radio yng bilang, ada kabut beracun yng menyelimuti desa. Aku kurang tau maksud ending ini, nanti coba cari tau lagi. Yah segitu yng ku pahami dari cerita silent hill ini :)
