When I saw the ad for this dresser on Marketplace, I immediately knew it was something special. Whether it was a Thomasville, Bassett, Hooker or whatever, I knew it was a solid wood vintage piece that I had to have. I picked it up within the hour! After I got it home and started to go over it, I discovered it was an American of Martinsville, one of my favorite makers! Yay! The style with the thick drawers with large wood carved insets was so appealing and I knew the moment I saw it that I wanted this to be dark green with a stained base. So, I got busy cleaning, sanding and staining! Then into the tent for the addition of a custom blended dark olive. Other than a few mishaps, which are bound to happen on nearly every piece, I almost dropped it, then I poured stain inside while trying to stabilize it, ugh. Then the hardware installation was the last step until the longest screws I had in my inventory weren’t even long enough to get through these 19 pound drawers! So, I used my countersink bits and created a space for the head of the screw to fit flush into the back of the drawer face. Then the hardware easily attached. This dresser is now exactly how I envisioned it. Modern, yet still holding on to its traditional style. Viewing these videos on FB or YT will provide all product details and links. #refinishedfurniture #FurnitureTransformation #FurnitureMakeovers #CreativeHome #DIYHomeDecor #UpcycledLiving #HomeRenovation #HandmadeFurniture #CraftedSpaces #HomeStyleUpgrade #refinishedfurniture #furniturerefinishing #vintagefurniture #neutraldecor #navy #furnitureflip #fauxbamboo #ipainteditpretty #farmhousefriday #furnitureflipping @WagnerSpraytech 00:00 Intro 00:34 Hardware removal and cleaning 00:57 Sanding 01:57 Stripping the base 02:48 Wood Filler 03:48 Staining the base 05:41 Set up spray tent 05:51 Primer 07:08 Paint 08:26 Hardware 08:40 Countersink screws 09:28 Final reveal
