Do you serve friendly advice you never use a Ford Ranger to tow a trailer always use a Chevy or a Toyota or a something more decent to tow a trailer PS Ford Rangers never work right in the first place. My uncle had a 2017 Ford F150 and he always had problems towing trailers with lights and everything else and he replaced the whole wiring harness and then end up being the actual whining harness part of the actual truck until he bought a jeep and it started working way better.

Since none of the lights worked with the ranger, I’d start with the ground on the truck and the trailer. The trailer may or may not ground throgh the hitch.
