Reading is supposed to put you in another’s shoes 😭 that’s the whole point! This is so frustrating, one of the best series I’ve ever read is the jasmine throne series and it’s based off of Indian mythology and folklore AND WAS SO. GOOD. and barely anyone talks about it!

The Jasad Heir duology honestly made me realize that I really need to intentionally broaden my TBR with non-white fantasy. I didn’t even realize how much of an echo chamber I had been stuck in until I finally read the Jasad heir, and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since.

I LOVE a fantasy book about another culture, a book about middle eastern myth, a book about north mythology, a book about Egyptian myth, I’ll be anyone as long as the journey is good and full of fantastic creatures 😍 I trully don’t get why people would not want to discover more universe than the one they already know ! Thanks for the rec btw, I’ll definitely look up the Jade heir 🤭

I'm always trying to find Eastern (Chinese/Japanese etc) Romance Fantasy and all I ever find is revenge stories, killing evil overlords or sibling saviours (All valid plots, but theres always 0 romance, or the romance is an incredibly minor plot). I don't know where to look for Korean/Chinese drama styles but in novel form, in English. Any recommendations? Happy endings only please, I'm pathetic 😅.
