Spend on yourself, but forget zakah and charity. 💌  مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنبَتَتْ سَبْعَ …سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ The example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains… — Al-Baqarah, verse 161 2️⃣ Show off your giving. Make sure everyone knows what you donated — your reward falters there. 💌 لَا يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنفَقُوا مَنًّا وَلَا أَذًى لَّهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ …and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or hurtful words—they will get their reward from their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. — Al-Baqarah, verse 162 3️⃣ Forget who gave it to you. Think your success is from you, and not from Allah. 💌 وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ And ˹remember˺ when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.’” — Ibraheem, verse 7 So, next time you make a purchase… 🙌🏽 Give a small charity with it — even a coin. 😶‍🌫️ Hide your giving, let Allah see it. 🤲🏼 Make du’a: “Ya Allah, put barakah in my wealth and accept it.”
