Single mothers are looked down on despite being the parent that stayed and stepped up.

when men say they are babysitting their kids I ask "oh so you're not a permanent person in their lives?"

Single/solo (not co-parenting) parenting dads are held on a pedestal whilst female solo are seen as less then, assumed they are “bludging off the system” or unable to get a man

The way my grandmother praises my brother for being a good father, but she never said a word to me about raising my 3 kids. 🙄

You've only got to look at how different single fathers are treated compared to single mothers 🤔

I get told all the time that my I’m so lucky that my husband is so involved in our sons life and that he does chores around the house.. Um no, he does the bare minimum to be an active participant in our family

even before parenthood, like a man gets praise for keeping their house tidy and being able to cook, which are basic life skills

Anyone heard of a “ working dad” or is that just reserved for the moms? 🙄

I hate it when my family asks if my partner helps around the house and helps with cooking, and they are either surprised or praise him, I am in a relationship with an adult, not with a five-year-old child, we share the responsibilities and it is his damn responsibility to do half of the things, just like when the children come, he won't "just help" but raise them with me.

I was told I’m so lucky my husband helps out so much with kids AND cooks and cleans…isn’t that standard when you have a house and family? 🤷🏼♀

I had a colleague praise my ex for cooking dinner for him and the kids whilst I was at work. 🤔

I asked my husband if it ever happens that people come up to him and say I'm doing a good job as a mom... because a lot of people come up to me and tell me he's a great dad. He got teary-eyed and felt sorry for me and spent ten minutes telling me I'm a good mom.

And the way society critiques mothers sooo much more than these half good fathers.

I think the worst thing is when you are sick. When my man stepped in he was hopeless. Then he’d get sick and stay in bed while I’m so unwell and I had to continue. I got the flu so badly in my fourth pregnancy, 3 children under 5. I didn’t get the help, my waters broke at 34 weeks because I was so sick and spent weeks in hospital. People rallied around him, but I didn’t get it when I needed it.

This is why the bar is always unreachable for women when it comes to the workplace. Once when we get there, it’s said we’ve slept our way to the top out it was DEI to discredit our hard work.

women are so amazing and i hate that all my life i was told women are not even an average men. I wasted like 25 years of my life thinking i was not gonna be able to live without a man cause i have “no value” without a man. To all young girls reading that: you are amazing and dont let anybody else make you believe other wise. I love yall and yall are worth it!

My husband used to say “this is easy” and I used to say “all you did was watch the kids, you didn’t do any of the house chores or doctors appointments”

My husband has always done for the kids, cooked, laundry whatever . He is praised by my family for this up and down. I mean I do the same stuff and more. Just because he is a man it’s some amazing accomplishment?

I just had surgery and when my husband told me he wasn’t taking time off. I had to arrange for my closest girlfriends to come throughout the week. As soon as he found out I had friends coming he said that he would have taken time off if I would’ve asked. So my friends are coming every day and helping me out, I’m hardly asking him to do anything for me, it’s all of them. He complained to one of my best friends when dropping our son off at school About how everybody was coming to help me and not him. When I put into ChatGPT told me not to apologize, but to thank him for what he’s doing, and acknowledging that it’s not easy, but then its own words for he is the children’s father, he is not helping you out, that is his responsibility as their father! I love you ChatGPT
