if you're chronically late and want answers i have some theories as someone who is seeing real improvement in my time management for me it completely is dependent on how much I've met my needs if I'm not eating often enough my sleep is out of whack my hygiene is lacking my living environments is toxic not just basic needs but those little things like having a place to dump your stuff when you come in the door after work or having a playlist ready to go each morning for your commute it takes a lot of work to get there but the more I've focused on identifying and meeting my needs basic or personal preferences that I know I value a lot the more I've been on time and reasonable with how long it takes me to do certain tasks I've seen a big difference that lines right up with how met my needs are im even starting to be able to predict how late I might make myself if I know I have a bunch of unmet needs and there's even been a time or 2 I was able to avoid being late despite all those needs were impacting me negatively because I accounted for how much harder it would be
