How do I keep a flat tummy while building/keeping my glutes 👇🏽  Using @tryfithub to track my macros This is def one of my most frequent questions (if not the most) so I’ll be clarifying some things. I’ve been building my body for the past 5 years, I didn’t always look like this, I’ve been through many different processes to have the body I have today.  Keep in mind I already had a really flat tummy  before and genetically my waist is small. Those bodies you see on social media have years and a LOT of hard work behind and probably have been through different stages to look that way. Having a flat stomach and growing muscle are two opposite goals because in order to gain muscle you need to be in a caloric surplus and in order to lose body fat you need to be in a caloric deficit (there’s exceptions) So you need to start setting your priorities, to be “toned” you need first a good muscular base so if you don’t have one, prioritize muscle growth and then focus on losing body fat. In my case, I bulked first for about a year-10 months, during that time my waist and abs didn’t look the way they look now, I DID GAIN FAT, my abs weren’t visible, and my waist wasn’t as small, I had more cellulite and I looked a little bit more “chubby” (I was still learning and I gained a little bit more fat than Id like to) but I NEEDED to go through that process, my body needed to look that way so I could look the way I do now.  🔹How to minimize fat gain during a bulk?  You want to create an environment that favors muscle growth without providing excess energy that will be stored as fat  - small surplus: 5-15% above maintenance (250-300) kcal/ day - Low to moderate intensity cardio  - High quality foods: most of your calories should be coming from whole, nutrient-dense foods. Limit ultra processed foods and liquid calories. Avoid dirty bulking  🔹To keep (or even grow) your muscles while losing fat:  - Prioritize strength training and progressive overload  - High protein intake: 2 gr per kg of body weight per day  - Moderate calorie deficit: 20-25% deficit  - Don’t overdo cardio, use it as a complement  - Prioritize sleep  And please TRUST THE PROCESS ❤️ #creatorsearchinsights #Fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #healthylifestyle #GymLife #gymmotivation #muscle #fitnessmodel #exercise
