The light and dark part has nothing to do with masonry. That is human nature. Not all masons are good people because that is not a good person from the start. You cant polish a turd and expect it to be a diamond. And those people are part of the problem that gives Freemasonry a bad name. If you go through the degrees and side degrees, you will quickly find out that self improvement or "building the temple" has to do with self improvement. If you learn all that and your still a turd, then you shouldn't even be allowed to call yourself a mason

I’m a master mason and it makes me sad how people turn blind eye and don’t research.. all we do is share knowledge and do loads of charities.. u have good and bad people everywhere in every religion or organisation

freemasons are the last card in the pack to even give a damn about humanity, let's just say if we don't protect our brothers and sisters we shall see the price. we can thank the templars for there courageous efforts to preserve the great knowledge. the heart is the defining characteristics. John the baptiste jesus and John the divine .. I'm yet to find him but I search my heart everyday.
