I had a patient once with phantom pain and all the other nurses where making fun of him and treating him terrible. I walked in and talked to him and rubbed his "arm" and he calmed down. it's a real thing and being nice is not a hard thing to do. the hospital should be ashamed of their self for allowing Loren to have this much pain.

Y’all realize it’s phantom pain and he’s on a lot of narcs already. After what he’s been through he deserves to be treated but they don’t want to overdose anyone. He’s probably addicted to them by now and they HAVE TO BE CAREFUL

I cannot believe they let him sit that long in that type of pain. He did not give him something immediately. The level of healthcare these days is terrible. I could never imagine letting a patient go that long in that pain inhumane

Phantom Pains are bad, its basically the nerves sending signals to get to the nerves lost, the signals normally is the pain it felt the last time before disconnected. Its also mentally. I've heard that anti depressants meds can also help with it. I'm not a dokter, my ex went through it, and that is how it was explained to us.
