My friend had a drunk driver hit her as she was walking. He left her for dead & dude only spent 1 night in jail. She spent years recovering. You could look at her now & not realize she went thru what she did. She still deals with the after effects and still has issues. But she survived and is doing good. Prayers for your mom!! It is time that the laws change on this though. Driving drunk is a choice and should be harsh consequences for those choices that hurt others.
