@saratbond: I can't. It's impossible to raise and sustain a family on a single income. My husband is amazing and more than provides for us, but if things continue like this I'm going to have to get a job just to afford to feed our kids. Grocery budgets are insane. Mortgage payments are insane. Gas prices, after school activities, keeping pants long enough to for my growing kids?! It's impossible.

Family of 5 here. Pre-covid we averaged $300. In the last year we reached $800-$1000. These last couple of months I have gotten more strict on what we buy and switch to shopping Aldi mostly, Costco for some bulk, and I hit up Ollie's for their reduced food section. Around $600 now buf still so exhausting trying to plan to make it lower. :/
