I was completely impartial to one piece. didn't hate it but didn't like it either, never watched any of it. I started watching it last year and I'm completely caught up with he manga. it has become my second most favorite IP in the world and I think its the greatest piece of fiction ever.

you can make damn near any story running 20 years have a 1000 episodes, so thats not really that big a flex. Even though the story is good and fun, Toei milks the hell out of every episodes by padding it to death. Dont need to see Luffy or any character walking 15 feet take 5 mins because you wanna animate it from 20 different angles. And dont say "it's about of the story, the journey." no the hell its not, thats just added padding to stretch out 1 chapter for 22 mins. If it was truly part of the story, you'd see Oda do that in the manga, but he doesnt. the anime is only that many episodes because they pad it out. The anime would be shorter if it was paced correctly. and before any of you One Piece psychos attack me for this. I didnt say anything negative about the story, I only critiqued the anime for its poor pacing cause Toei is milking it and you all just accept.
