I learned this only because my husband is on dialysis. I was surprised because all my life. I just thought it came from my stomach to my bladder 😂😂😂

I mean, it does start as fluid in the digestive tract, then get absorbed into the bloodstream from the intestines, then get filtered out through the kidneys and sent to the bladder ... so it kind of does come from the stomach ... I've had to explain that to a patient before when I was trying to explain kidneys and urine bc my patient asked, "well then what happens to all the liquid you drink?" Fair point.
