Understand that to take his path, you’ll be taking on more difficultly. Because it’s easy to do what everyone is doing. It’s easy to gratify the flesh. But it’s harder to trust when we’re not in control

Sometimes we don’t see the light for a while. I’m going through a rough phase in my life. My husband of almost 11 years left me July 6th while I was asleep and took everything. I am disabled due to my health issues and don’t have a job or income. Due to him leaving me, he left behind our 3 kids (dogs) and not a penny to help me. I can’t apply for disability until the divorce is finalized and I can’t apply for health insurance until all of this is over as well. So, my mom who is retired and lives with my 90 year old grandma taking care of her, had to take over most of my bills. My husband still legally has to pay our mortgage and the car payment, the phone bill, and WiFi. My husband was extremely abusive and cheated all the time. Why I stayed you ask? Because I got sick & had no way of just leaving. I had no where to go, live, money, etc. I was married to a veteran who refused to get help for his PTSD and anger when it’s free for him to go but he never did even after years of me begging. I asked God to show me a way in my marriage. For it to work, or if it won’t work, see me out. God did what I asked. Maybe not in a way I wish he wouldn’t have left causing both of our parents to fork out thousands of dollars for lawyers, but he could have been a man and said we need to divorce & done it much more simple. With all this being said, don’t give up talking to God. You will see why he does these things. Just know his way is the best way! That light will be shown more and more over time. God said it wouldn’t be easy. We were promised a troubled life. but he promised to be here for us and never forsake us. Remember that. Sending love and prayers! 💙

Secondly, thanks for being human, and showing others your difficulties. We all go through things like this. Following the Lord is extremely difficult, if it wasn’t everyone would do it. I just want you to know that one day you will find delight in his commands. When your relationship grows, the Lord changes the desires of your heart. You’re in the right place. He’s working on you. Take away the specific situation & realize the delight may just be knowing you’re trying to live your life by following his path… yes, the current circumstances of said path at this moment may suck, but you will find delight in knowing you made the journey. Keep your faith. God fights battles we can’t see. We have to trust in HIS timing. I’m sure He has a plan and all this is giving you the strength and resilience you need for your true purpose. I’ve walked through many fires in my life. I didn’t understand the why at the time. Grew up with a narcissistic stepdad and I was the black sheep, I lost my mom when I was 20, DV survivor, survived cancer and more. Had I not went through all that I wouldn’t have survived the past 3 years. I know there is a purpose for what I’ve been going through the past 3 years. I don’t know exactly what it is but I trust in my Lord and Savior. I know the pain I’ve been going through is serving His purpose and the reward will be so much greater. God has you, be thankful for what you have, be patient, keep your faith and trust in His timing 🙏🏼💙🙏🏼
