Psychology is the STUDY OF THE SOUL. In order for Alex, who is an ATHEIST to provide an explanation about a soul that nobody can see is congruent to people who provide explanation for the God that nobody can see. Not only this, but as an atheist who believes in the soul, he just proved that he is actually not an atheist, or at least he is confused as to what an atheist means. Is he worshipping the soul? I.e. himself? the technical term for a person who worships the soul or themselves is "Satanist".

I like where He said if the Christian wants religion to provide existential comfort then they have to do more for Children dying of cancer. That's what is lacking in Christianity, the ability to do more. Christians haven't given themselves up to to be able to do more. Because they are supposed to have the fullness of the Godhead in them, and with the fullness comes the ability to "DO MORE"

I have so much more purpose since letting the idea of god go. I was always praying and waiting, nothing. I live with intention now as an atheist. I choose my purpose. I was always an atheist I just didn’t realize how to be an atheist in a Christian society. I never believed, I was always pretending because that’s what I thought I had to do, it was good, it was moral. I was miserable it felt so fake. As an out atheist I’ve never been happier. I wish I had lived my childhood 20s and early 30s as freely and authentically. I’m in my late 40s now and my life is true and real.

religion isn't what gives you purpose. its you and wgat you pick for your life and your decisions you make. passion/job, life, hobbies, family, home, etc its up to you too choose. and financial issues, where there's a will there's a way and you get creative.
