my birthday is Halloween so I don't even like celebrating my birthday. I love Jesus but he had me born on the most demonic day ever so what do I do? Am I cursed? I don't celebrate any holiday except Easter that is the only one that matters.

I hope you’ll speak on “trunk-or-treats” as part of this series. Halloween is a hard no but my kids beg every year to participate in the church function that is typically the same week as Halloween.

I have a question. my church said as long as me or my kids don't participate in anything scary. they said to keep scary stuff out and dont fear this day and keep Jesus in it would be ok. me personally I just think of it as any other day but my kids have school and they at the end of day do games get candy/ treats and they can dress up so what should I do about this. and the church has a trunk or treat which I dont let my kids do or dress up but the church has a bouncy house that last year I let them do . should I let do the bouncy house and school. I keep Jesus in we sing songs , read the Bible& arts..and I dont let my youngest dress up until after the day of Halloween in November because it's something he likes to do is dress up in costumes pretend play..

I’m so glad you’re doing this series! I need the guidance, I stopped all world holidays this year and I have 2 kids 9&11 that are struggling with accepting it. I’m just “crazy” to everyone. 😭😭

I agree with this, trying to break the habit of letting your children understand helping them understand why they can’t or shouldn’t is probably the hardest part of changing traditions .

This will be the 3rd year we will not be celebrating Halloween. Our kids are young and we’re honest with them (age appropriately) about the darkness of halloween. But we still partake in fall festivities though! 🥰
