And she was right. When you look at the remake now and how good that is and what a difference it makes to have somebody like Sam Reid in that role then you have to realize that she was entirely right that Tom Cruise should not have played that part.

She wrote Lestat on Rutger Hauer, she said cruise was too short and his voice was too high, but by the time they started the movie Rutger Hauer was too old, so they paid her off. That’s what i remember from that time.

I still hated him as Lestat. Brad wasn't book Louis, either. Same w/Antonio as Armand. If I hadn't read the books, I think I would've liked the movie better.
