I need help too! I understand what to do if only one student is talking, but in my class they all talk at the same time. This is my first year. I tried to be quiet and not start the lesson until they calmed down, but it really didn’t work. We stood the whole lesson and didn’t even start studying 😅

Try the whisper trick. Basically when they get noisy just start whispering “If you can hear me, clap twice” One kid claps, the others panic like “wait what’s happening??” Boom, silence, getting your control back.

I refuse to stand there staring at them, we forget they are children, we are expecting them to know social ques... many kids now a days do not know them... having a timer or clinging down I find much easier...
