Paul doesn't have much sponsorship money. Alpine needs one capable driver (Gasly) and one cash cow (Colapinto). I rate Colapinto on par with Doohan.

The narrative that Colapinto crashes all the time is not only wrong but also targeted cause all drivers crash their car and he’s way out of the top10 in damages. Bearman crashed his car in the pit lane and nothing is mentioned.. maybe cause he’s brit and his dad is rich

Colapinto has beaten gasly in the last 4 races, Gasly has 8 years in F1 and the last 3 at Alpine with the car built around him. At the very least, Colapinto is at Gaslys level, he has that second seat locked in.

the media is really unfair to colapinto. he's the only rookie that hasn't dnf. yeah he crashed but also everyone else ??? bearman crashed in the pit lane, antonelli crashed into verstappen and leclerc ruining their race and everybody forgot... you all also forget he changed teams and hasn't had pre season and in the last 4 races has beating gasly. your narrative is wrong
