I think the reason is too much pushing and shoving and fighting in sports. I have played rugby as a teen and hurling and I have never even shoved someone. Boys need to be shown that pushing someone is unacceptable after the whistle is blown. The it becomes habbit. I played field hockey where you are sent off for even the tiniest swear word. But GAA sports soccer rugby etc, have to become more strict to raise gentlemen rather than convicts

A person can manipulate another person in a relationship to the point where they believe they're righteous with abuse. Guards get called at peak points of abuse but the abuser threatens to take life, charges get dropped out of fear and the viscous circle rotates until a life is taken.. We need a better system for victims i.e. protection, rehousing and counciling
