Proof getting old doesn’t have to suck!💁‍♀️🙌 My Grandma just turned 81 yesterday and she is as capable as she was in her 40’s. I think a mistake people make is thinking aging inevitably means giving up your independence. This couldn’t be further from the truth so long as you prioritize exercise and healthy foods. And the best part about achieving this is it is not complicated…  Here’s a few things she does daily that make a massive difference: 1. Prioritize movement in her daily routines (walks for groceries instead of driving, takes stairs instead of elevator, opts for movement over ease in all tasks) 💪 2. Healthy foods (she cooks almost every single meal. She avoids processed foods) 🥙 3. Intensity (whether it’s a workout or a walk she does it with purpose and intensity. She walks so fast wherever we go and it’s no surprise because there’s a direct correlation between how fast you walk and your quality of life as you age) 🚶‍♀️💨 4. Limit alcohol (neither of my Grandparents have ever been big on casually drinking and I think it’s really showcasing in their 80’s. On a special occasion they’ll have a drink but that’s it)🚫🍺 5. Prioritize sleep! They have always been regimented with their sleep and it’s no surprise because sleep is the only time our brain and body can rejuvenate and recover 💤 These are a few things we can all do to live a healthier, fuller life!
