We have added our newest member to the clubhouse east. That’s the east wing of the house. The clubhouse is now overtaken the entire second floor. No longer just my bedroom. This area is reserved for the very delicate ones. Due to age, illness, injuries, or limitations. It allows me one on one time with them even more so than the rest to be able to diagnose any minor issues that come up because of the delicate nature of each and every one of them. Our newest member is this old guy here. Romeo. Romeo came to me with Juliet all the way back in 2019. They were 12 at the time. I jokingly say that I stole Juliet from Romeo. Juliet was extremely sick with a respiratory issue when she first got here combined with having Parvo come into the house for the one and only time. So Juliet ended up sleeping in my bathroom and she healed, and I even had an air mattress in there and slept with her. Before they came here, I pulled them hours before being euthanized from a shelter in Southern California. They made the truck across country within a few days and started their journey here. Because they came from a hoarding case, and we’re left outdoors for a very long time before being sent to the shelter, Romeo never became accustomed to human touch. Over the years and on his terms, we have broken down those walls. He has become social with everybody and even accepting and loving human touch. Now that he is a clubber, he is going to get more of that than he has ever had. They’ll be following up videos to this one as the timeline of events unfolds, but I was trying to get his attention to spend some one-on-one time with him, and I was interrupted by gizmo who had to have his one-on-one time.
