@august_night0: I Am Human: Sisters of the Serpent. It’s a Southern Gothic coming-of-rage series set in 1995 New Orleans, where I use myth, music, and magic to tell the story of a feminist-fueled revolution. The novel follows a group of outcast Catholic schoolgirls who uncover a forbidden ritual tied to the ancient myth of “Lilith” a spiritual entity symbolizing feminine empowerment, rebellion, and defiance. Unlike traditional novels, the chapters in my story are called “Tracks,” each one titled after a real-life rock or pop song that reflects the mood and themes of the story. At its heart, this series is about women refusing to stay small and silent, facing down misogyny, faith, and family to reclaim their power. What begins as a secret sisterhood soon evolves into a reckoning with authority, religion, and the roles society has tried to force upon them. If you’ve ever watched and loved films like The Craft (1996), The Crow (1994), Monster (2003), The Witches of Eastwick (1986), or even Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), you’ll recognize the spirit and themes that inspired this story.
