I am Arab and I strongly agree with you. My problem is with those who, after converting to Islam, start wearing the Arab clothes, such as the thobe (traditional long garment) and what we call taqiyah (a piece of cloth worn on the head, similar to a cap but not exactly the same). And let me be clear: my issue is not racism because they wear Arab clothing, not at all. My problem is that they think this clothing is part of Islam, while in reality, it is simply Arab culture.
