To all people who are confused and putting a blame to this and that, She is the Royal Kumari of Kathmandu (Yen). This isn’t any abuse or she isn’t just taken away from her parents forcefully. Yes, She is a little child but she is granted every fundamental rights except of going out of the Kumari Ghar on normal days. She has a personal tutor, a place to play, friends, family members and moreover she has various caretakers for various type of activities. She isn’t any normal child but a reincarnation of Goddess Taleju Bhawani. It’s a culture that we should be proud of which has been going on since 1600s. Be proud of it ,preserve it rather than degrading the culture.

This practice may carry cultural significance, but it is unfair to a child. Providing a personal tutor is not enough every child deserves to attend school, socialize, and grow with friends. More importantly, expecting her to return to a “normal life” at 11 after years of being treated as a goddess ignores the reality of lost childhood and social development.

This to everyone ... let me just clarify this she get to do all kind of stuff like smiling, running, walking ,playing and studying. The rule only applies during the Jatra and ritual time not everyday . yeah for ppl who come to visit her of to take blessing from her the rules applies during that time too but expect for that she has all basic right we do as a child
