27 years ago, I had no idea what was going to happen. I became a mom so young, with nothing but faith, love, and prayers and a lot of tears that I held on to. 🙏🏽😭 Parenting didn’t come with certainty it still doesn’t. You just do your best, hoping you’re guiding your kids toward a good future. What I’ve learned is you can’t control everything. At some point, you let them be their own person. You trust their choices, even when it’s scary, and you realize you’re still learning as they grow. And today, my firstborn did her very first flight. ✈️ This has always been her dream there were times it didn’t look like it would happen, but life has a way of bringing you right where you’re meant to be. She went through so much to get here… and so did I. These are our shared moments as a mum and daughter. Struggles that people don’t see but it’s so special to my heart and soul. ♥️🥹 There were moments I would quietly just want to be there for her, just to make sure she was okay, trying not to be too obvious but I guess she knew coz I was there 👀😭 because let’s be real it’s so hard for a mom to step back and let her child stand on her own. I’ve always put my children first, setting everything else aside if I have to, just to make sure they know I’m there. ( that song I’d go wherever you will go, thats me 🙃) But my gahd, this young woman is toughie (not sure where she got that from. 🫣 I’ve seen her battles, her struggles, her strength. And now I get to see her soaring into her own chapter.
