POD HOTEL in a corridor in BANGKOK AIRPORT ✈️ This may be one of my strangest stays so far… 🛸👽 As our flight home was at 9am in the morning, I decided to make life easier by booking us a place to stay that was close to the airport. And by close I mean…  IN THE BASEMENT 😆 ⬇️ THE DETAILS ⬇️ 🛏️ Avaguard Capsule Hotel 📍Bangkok Airport 💰£41 a pod for overnight (it’s cheaper in the daytime) ⬇️ WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT ⬇️ ▪️Way more spacious than I thought it was gonna be ▪️The air con was a life saver - was worried I was gonna be too warm but it was great ▪️I was a little concerned at first that the mattress was a bit thin but I slept like a BABY so apparently I love that ▪️It was really quiet in that area - I didn’t hear any noise outside the pods whilst sleeping ▪️You simply cannot beat the location ⬇️ WHAT COULD BE BETTER ⬇️ ▪️You used to get toilet access by the pods but it seems like a competitor has taken that over now… So it is annoying to have to walk around 5 mins up to the airport toilets ▪️No showers! We fortunately have free lounge access so managed to get one once we went through security but otherwise, you’d have to pay for that ▪️If on your own, the walk down to the pods is a little eerie… It’s unmanned after around 11pm. But also it’s a pro since it’s so quiet!! ▪️It’s the cheapest option for the airport but… damn it’s pricey for Bangkok for what you get! You’re paying for convenience!! ⬇️ FINAL THOUGHTS ⬇️ ▪️If you have an early flight or layover, it’s great ▪️Really good option for a solo traveller ▪️HOWEVER - if you were in a couple and wanted a shower, it may be worth paying for the Hyatt Regency at the airport which is often around £100 - £130 a night as once you’ve added up getting lounge access, it may work out a better deal 📣 LET ME KNOW… Would you stay in a pod hotel like this??! #bangkokairport #podhotel
