WNBA has never been profitable and if it wasn’t for a men’s professional league, they would not be playing basketball. If the league and teams aren’t making anything, why should they get paid millions? It doesn’t make sense at all. Also nobody wants to watch a layup league. They don’t want nascar for the left turns, they watch it for the crashes. They don’t watch UFC for the wrestling, they watch it for the KO’s. They don’t watch NFL for clock management, they watch it for the unbelievable catches and hard hits. They don’t watch the NBA for layups, they watch it for windmill dunks. Shaq is right. If this league wants to be profitable and more enjoyable to watch, lower the rim so they can dunk and make unbelievable alley oops and breaking news moments. The biggest WNBA success they had this year was Angel Reese’s “Me-Bounds” Reebok shoes.
