I have major issues with this. As a native faculty member. I agree they are performative, but schools use that as an excuse to not do the work to build one alongside the communities.

Stanford sits on unseceded tribal lands. It is especially important to have a land acknowledgment with this in mind. thank you for bringing awareness!

Ohio State removed theirs this semester too. It used to be in every syllabus but now profs are not to put it in the syllabus unless it is “relevant to this class”
