Sounds like the child was pulling a bike with the jump rope, like had the rope wrapped around a bike and was pulling it (almost like a horse drawn carriage but the child is the horse). Could be very dangerous, especially if there’s a child on the bike they are pulling

People need to remember that kinder is a long, hard day for kids! It’s normal for them to be grumpy and short at the end of the day. they have been emotionally regulating all day and they are finally back with their safe person. Safe people mean it’s safe to express your frustration and crash out a bit. Sure, maybe later you should have a talk about speaking kindly BUT in the moment, it’s ok to let an upset child express themselves ❤

What everyone in the comments is ignoring is that it’s soooo important to allow kids to feel their emotions in a situation like this and sometimes that comes across as tone like it did here. Afterwards (after the big emotions) is a much better time to talk with the child about how her emotions are allowed to be expressed but it wasn’t appropriate to do it that way.

There are so many things wrong with this. As a teacher who has been in this kind of situation, here is what I’m guessing. About 15 to 20 4 and five-year-olds. Tricycles and jump ropes everywhere. A kid pulling a tricycle with a jump rope after being told not to. Other kids chasing and screaming, him not sharing, temper tantrums time out and then going home and talking to his mother like this.
