@sweeteatsbyj: Ooey gooey caramel with cheesecake & fudgey brownie= the most decadent trio✨✨ RECIPE: For the brownie base 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 1 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt For the cheesecake layer 450g/16oz cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla extract For the caramel topping: 1 cup sugar 3-4 tbsp butter 1/4 cup heavy cream 1/2 tsp vanilla Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling 1. Preheat oven & Set to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. 2. Make the brownie base: In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Spread evenly in prepared pan. 3. For the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mixing until creamy. Spread over the brownie batter. 4. Bake 30–35 minutes, or until cheesecake layer is set and just slightly golden. Let cool completely in pan. 5. Once cooled, spread a layer of caramel sauce evenly over the cheesecake. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt. 6. Refrigerate at least 1-2 hour for clean slices. For CARAMEL SAUCE: 1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar. Stir constantly with a heatproof spatula or whisk as it melts into a golden liquid (it will clump first, then smooth out). 2. Once fully melted and amber-colored, carefully add butter. It will bubble up. Stir until fully combined. 3. pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Again, it will bubble vigorously. Keep whisking until smooth. 4. Remove from heat, stir in sea salt. I tried making these tonight and it did not turn out this way 😭 followed all the steps and measurements correctly too. Plus my caramel got thick after letting it cool for 10 minutes like it said to in the caption before putting it over the brownies, it wasn’t runny like how it was in the video 💔
