@unbridledfreedomrescue: It’s the little moments for me. Seeing bonded horses that were bound for slaught3r sharing a pasture grazing peacefully, living out their days here. The smell of a freshly mowed field. Watching the deer run by as the horses watch with curious faces. It’s these moments we need to sit in. Remembering why we do this, what all the heartache and hurting is for. It’s worth it for these little peaceful moments in between. I’m so lucky to have this little slice of heaven for them to land when they need help. I’m so lucky to have a community. Neighbors who help me. Volunteers who donate their time to make things better for the horses. It’s a lot of moving parts. And we’re building something big and beautiful.
