There were 5 shutdowns during Jimmy Carter, two during Clinton and one during Obama. And there are 60 votes in the senate needed to pass and there are only 53 Rebulicans. They needed 7 democrats to cross over to avoid a shutdown. Sooo….

60 votes are needed I. the senate to pass the budget. Republicans have 53 votes and 2 dems supported the budget. Republicans need to only find 5 mote votes. democrats to pass their budget have 42 votes so the need 18 mote votes. Republicans have a much easier oath to a pass than democrats
