Have you seen a prophet in the Bible prophecy about themselves? The gift in them is for other not them. Elisha healed people and raised the dead but died of sickness, the same sickness he healed people of yet even in death his bones raised a dead person. Apostle Paul didn’t know what awaited him in Jerusalem it took another prophet to prophecy to him what was going to happen when he gets to heaven. The apostles who could see things done in secret and peoples hearts couldn’t see the wicked plans people had for them, they were told by other people. The gift in a man or woman if God is not in them for their benefit but for the lifting and building of the body of Christ, sometimes God will not tell them what’s happening even to their own children. Eli didn’t know what awaited him and his children yet he knew the voice of God. I could go in and in with many Biblical examples.
