@corinne.auman: There’s a common myth called the Lump of Labor Fallacy. It’s the idea that there’s only a fixed number of jobs to go around, and if older adults keep working, they’re taking opportunities away from younger generations. The truth is very different. Work and the economy don’t operate like a pie with a limited number of slices. In reality, when older adults remain in the workforce, they create more value, more demand, and often new opportunities that wouldn’t exist otherwise. The belief that older workers should ‘step aside’ is rooted in ageism, not economics. Older adults bring experience, creativity, and stability that strengthen teams and inspire growth. Younger workers are not held back by older colleagues… they are lifted by them. It’s time we challenge the outdated idea that age makes someone less valuable in the workplace. The contributions of people in their 50s, 60s, and beyond are not only valid, they’re vital. #ageism #keenagers #aging #agingwell #keenagersbook

catlady :
Older workers need pay as much as younger, why would that ever be an issue?
