Not that I agree with it but they are teenagers above the age of consent even if they not adults at 18…. 16-17 might be a better set of data. I was married at 19 been 28 years….. how many people got married at 30 and made it 28 years?

age of consent is the same as the marriage age... back during Jean Cretian time as primeminister it was changed from 14 and under to 16 and older... they tried to push the age of consent to 18 but the conservatives wouldn't budge....

Of course they can. Sixteen is the legal age of consent. There are boundaries, however, and those are determined by province and territory. Also, no one is legally bound to anyone for the rest of their life, lol.

I mean the age of consent is 12-16 so I hope that if marriage is allowed that they have a strict 2-5 years age gap cuz the last thing we can take is a 15 years age gap with a child

It is important to note the age of the husband. I was 18 and my wife 17 when we were married. We had a baby and made the family official. Young girls marrying men old enough to be their father should be investigated.

Please define “children”. 16 with a parents consent. If you have the freedom of info results it is only right if you are going to make an own end statement like that, you should provide the stats age and year they wed.
