A job search is a very stressful time and it’s full of uncertainty and you might be hyper fixating on things that you cannot control in an effort to gain some power and feel like you aren’t so out of control. But it is going to backfire because you are only hurting yourself and sapping your energy on things that you can’t control. 👉Instead, re-focus your energy and efforts on what you can control. 👈 A job search is a numbers game, the more jobs you apply to the more likely you are to get scheduled an interview. ▪️Instead of worrying about whether or not that company is going to get back to you instead applying to more jobs. ▪️Instead of waiting by the phone for an offer. Apply to more jobs. ▪️Instead of worrying about all the skills you don’t have, take a class or get a certification that will make you more qualified for the jobs you want. ▪️Instead of thinking negatively about yourself and how the interview is going to go, practice, prepare and do your research. 📙Here’s a list of what is in your control ✅Your thoughts ✅What you do, eat and watch ✅Your goals, boundaries and how you show up ✅How you speak to yourself ✅How you treat others and who you hang out with 🔥When you stop wasting your time on things you can’t control life feels more manageable and meaningful. #jobsearch #outofcontrol #anxiety #jobsearchtips #mindset
