I’ve been so drained lately. So tired. It seems like in those moments, the devil attacks the hardest. He makes me forget that I’m called to take up my cross everyday. He makes me forget that everything I do and everything that happens in this world should only be about God. He makes me forget that God is in the works of building me up for something bigger in the times of these sufferings. He tells me I’m defined by my past even though God makes me new everyday. He tells me I should look for validation in people and school when God tells me I am already enough and to trust in him. He tells me my future is unclear when Jesus has already paved the road with his own blood to give me a future in heaven. He tells me I am not a good Christian and I will never be able to conquere my sins because I’m not strong enough, when God tells me He is strong enough and to lay it at his feet so that he can deal with it and give me rest. When Jesus told us to take up our cross daily and follow him, it didn’t mean everything would be perfect with rainbows and butterflies. Actually life gets a lot harder. Just like for the saying “it’s the sick that need a doctor.” To the devil it’s the righteous that needs corruption. Everyday is a choice. Everyday is a fight. But, everyday you choose God, He sees that because He knows it’s not easy, and He will reward you in time. Stay steadfast in faith, never lose site, bc the things He has planned for you in His time are so beautiful. Don’t fall into those sins when times get hard, instead pray harder. He is making you stronger for something you can’t see yet. He puts you in your most vulnerable state to work on your spirit and heart most efficiently but that also opens the doors to darkness and doubt. You think he’s the furthest away in these time but he’s actually the closest he’s ever been, trying to prepare you for so much more. Be still, be patient, pray harder, your blessings are coming, but remember this isn’t about you or anyone else. This and every action we take on this earth is to glorify God’s and Jesus Christ’s name and to do the good works of baring fruit and being fishers of men.
