My personal opinion is that unicorns do have disabilities, but they’re more similar to ADHD and dyslexia than a missing arm. The unicorns disability would be struggling with specific forms of magic or being unable to control your magic this is just my theory

Tempest would be considered disabled, unicorns in general have very little magic with only a few being genuinely powerful, Rarity too is powerful when it comes to her magic, however she just doesn't specialise/train her abilities because she doesn't need to

while its not explicitly stated, I believe sweetie bell is the closest to having a disabled unicorn from birth (not saying she is) because of she struggled to pick up even brooms. Though unicorns seem to really only be limited to their cutie mark. Twilight , starlight , and even sunburst are on another level bc their cutie marks have to do with magic

Tempest would be the obvious one for a disabled unicorn as her horn is broken. But I think as far as natural disabilities in unicorns, it would have to be along the realm of magical abilities or talent being delayed. We’ve seen baby unicorns like one of the bakery twins and Flurry Heart show magical aptitude and impressive control early on.

Even think about Rarity. Her magic is on precision & juggling multiple items, but she doesn’t have the ability/knowledge/power to make like a shield or beam to blast enemies. Levitation seems to be a baseline all unicorns learn with varying levels, but not all unicorns can teleport

my ponysona actually plays with this concept a bit, where she was never strong enough in unicorn magic so instead she learns how to use magic through written spells and relics and stuff !!

This video made me realize that both twilight AND starlight have to study magic intensely. Like I think in the show as well, it’s kinda pointed out that Sunburst has an intuitive UNDERSTANDING of magic and how it works, it’s his talent, kind of like how math just makes sense to some people. But twilight and starlight have the magical ability, but only know so much about magic because they had to study it. It doesn’t come to them naturally. It’s why twilight is so attached to her books when it comes to finding magical solutions. It’s just how she needs to interact with it.
