My opinion is the first step should be protecting the person who came forward while not rushing to publicly shame the accused until the truth is clear. That means creating a safe space for the victim, giving her support, and handling the matter privately and fairly so no one’s reputation is ruined without proof. But if it’s confirmed to be true, the community should stand with the victim, hold the perpetrator accountable, and notify everyone who he is and where he lives, the same way Americans do by putting it on record, so safety and justice come first and victims feel safe enough to come forward to !

Yesss, I agree with you so much. But this community is so messed up they don’t care, they’ll still hang around with them. It’s not easy, because I’ve seen women get put down after SA and not even be heard. The community will never truly understand. Sometimes I wish Sharia law was enforced again, because these men are honestly disgusting.

I think there should be someone professional investigating it. Because the community will try to sweep it under the rug. So do not rely on civilians in the community who have no authority to hold anyone accountable. The best thing we can do for our daughters and give them the proper resources that are dedicated to protecting victims and prosecuting the perpetrators. Do not give that person a change to “explain” theirselves without being in the presence of an investigation.

I’ve seen countless amount of cases be ignored or kept quiet cause. 1 they “fear” of embarrassment and 2 they said the predator can retaliate or send black magic to the family for outing them to the public. Regardless of how scary it may seem; Trust Allah. Also get the cops involved so there’s public record and it’s not a he said she said situation. Then tell the community so you give everyone the warning and hopefully prevent more people from getting harmed.
