People are not allowed to be “mean in their criticism” btw (this is not me saying the swiftologisy was being mean). However it is posssible to give constructive criticism and a negative review without being mean. This “we own each other nothing” mentality is why indie artists are hesitant to put out their art. Why people refuse to help each other.
